Entim is designed to give you the friendliest, most intimate, luxury safari camp experience and the best wildlife safari in the Masai Mara. The prime location along the Mara River is unrivalled for seeing and photographing animals all year around, but particularly to observe the greatest wildlife show on earth; over a million wildebeest, zebra and antelopes migrating from the Serengeti into the Masai Mara (July-October).

The word ‘tent’ doesn’t really do justice to the 12 new luxury en-suite guest rooms raised on wooden decks overlooking the Mara River. Handsomely decorated using earthy tones, there’s a seamless flow from inside to outside and down to the river. Watch animals moving to and from the river from your private lounge and veranda, or during scrumptious meals at our open-fronted dining deck.

Activities at the Entim Mara Camp

Bush Breakfast: Let us surprise you with an al-fresco picnic bush breakfast/lunch out in the wilds and we’ll pull out all the stops for a special celebration (be sure to let us know).

Sun Downer: Sundowner Hill is about 15 minutes’ drive from Entim Camp and it’s our favourite place to stop for drinks and snacks to watch the sun go down. Admire the 360 degree views of big sky savanna that epitomises the Masai Mara and captures the heart of everyone who comes here. Since Entim Camp is conveniently located nearby, there’s no hurry to finish your drinks before sunset, unlike other lodges that have to dash back or face a fine. As the daylight fades and no-one else is around, it feels like the Masai Mara is our own private wilderness.

Masai village visit: You will never realise how different Maasai life is from your own until you visit a Maasai village. As the village lies outside the National Reserve an hour from camp, your game drive is en-route to the village. Bring cash as the ladies display all sorts of crafts for sale, including colourful ethnic beadwork. Ask your guide about protocols of taking photographs. You can book this excursion in advance or while you are at camp.

Balloon Safari: There is nothing that epitomises the Masai Mara experience more than floating over the golden savanna dotted with animals in a hot air balloon. It’s truly a bucket list experience and we advise you to book this excursion at the same time as your accommodation to ensure a place.
