In Tsavo East, you will stay at the Ashnil Aruba Lodge Ashnil Aruba Lodge lies in the heart of Tsavo East National Park. The lodge comprises 46 deluxe ensuite guest rooms and 6 luxury tents. The lodge is situated on the shaded northern bank of the Voi River looking across the famous Aruba Dam. The Aruba Dam is one of the most notable landmarks in Tsavo East being a huge reservoir that is a major attraction for many animals and a rich bird life; there are over 200 bird species at Aruba. For those who love bird watching, our resident naturalist will take you on a guided tour through the park to learn the various bird species.

Pick up from your Nairobi city hotel or residence at 7.00 a.m. and drive to Amboseli via the Athi Plains, home of the Masai. The drive time will be approximately 4.00 hours. Enter Amboseli Park driving slowly, looking for lions, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, gazelles, antelopes and different kind of birds. Check in at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge, after checking in take your lunch followed by a short afternoon relaxation. At 4 pm go for the evening game drive in the small but game filled Amboseli national park with a chance to see Elephants, lions, cheetahs, gazelles, wildebeests, buffalos zebras, warthogs, different birds and of course Mount Kilimanjaro. Have your morning breakfast at 6.30 a.m. then depart for a two-hour game drive until 9.00 a.m when you join the convoy to Tsavo West. The drive to Tsavo West is approximately 1 Hour. Have a game drive via the scenic shetani lava flow- a formation left after the explosion of Mt. Kilimanjaro several million years back. This extended game drive will take you until lunch hour. Lunch will be at the Kilaguni Serena Safari. After lunch, have an afternoon game drive en route to the rhino Sanctuary This sanctuary is home to the rare and endangered black rhino plus the “big five of Africa” The lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and the Rhino. At 6.00 p.m., return to the Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal Plan: {Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner}
Have your breakfast at 6.30 a.m followed by a game drive via the Mzima Springs where crystal clear water emanates from the underground. Springs originating from the Mt. Kilimanjaro. Hippos crocodile, fish and variety of bird life exists. Later depart for the neighboring Tsavo East National with a mid morning game drive en route to the Ashnil Aruba Lodge for Lunch. After lunch, relax at the camp as you await your evening game drive that will be at 4.00 to 6.00 p.m. Dinner and overnight at the Ashnil Aruba Lodge. Meal Plan: {Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner}
Wake up at around 5.45 am, have a cup of coffee and start an early morning game drive before the main breakfast. This time you have a chance of seeing the big cats of Tsavo. Back to the lodge for the main breakfast at around 8.30 am followed by the last game drive and depart to Taita Hills salt lick driving through a distance of 80 kms. Arrive early afternoon, check in at Taita Hills Lodge where you will have your lunch. Depart at around 2.30 pm to Hilton Salt Lick where you will have a chance to see animals at the water hole, while at Salt Lick Lodge. Proceed for another game drive at 4.00 pm until 6.30 pm. Taita Hills wild life sanctuary was founded by the Hilton early seventies. It covers an area of 24,000 Ha. Physical attractions include thorny bushes, acacia forests, arid and savannah, swamp and Taita hills among others. Animals found here include elephants, lions, cheetah, zebras, giraffes, and many different types of birds such as ostriches, horny bills, guinea fowls, kingfishers and weaver birds. Dinner and overnight at Salt lick lodge.
Early morning game drive at 6.30am until 8.30am time for your breakfast. After breakfast, game viewing en route as you leave Tsavo East National park exiting through the Voi gate to the Voi SGR trai terminus for your 12.00 p.m. train to Mombasa arriving at 2.00 p.m. You will be picked from the train station and transfer to your Coastal hotel with a brief stop for lunch in Mombasa town.
