On this safari you will be visiting both Kenya and Tanzania. This is a slow paced safari specifically designed for those who would like to experience the different landscapes, wildlife, birds without a rush. Each location is unique in its own way and with some of the locations have their own set of subspecies altogether, a good example being Samburu and the far North, Samburu is home to the Grevy’s Zebra, the Somali Ostrich, the Gerenuk, Reticulated Giraffe and the Beisa Oryx, these mammals are endemic to Samburu.

This tour will take you through the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Samburu, the Aberdares- known for the rare forest bongo, forest elephants, rhino and the more rare wildlife like Giant Forest hog, bongo, golden cat, serval cat, African wild cat, African civet cat and the blue duiker. Proceed to the Great Rift Valley Lakes region and make some stops at Lake Naivasha and Lake Nakuru. Lake Nakuru and Naivasha are birders haven with over 450 Species recorded. You will also stop at the Masai mara, Africa’s best game reserve. Cross over to Tanzania by Air on to the Serengeti National Reserve, the Serengeti National Park is a World Heritage Site teeming with wildlife: over 2 million ungulates, 4000 lions, 1000 leopard, 550 cheetahs and some 500 bird species.  Proceed to Ngorongoro Crater and explore the largest Caldera of its kind in the world and full of life.

You will also have an opportunity to Visit Tarangire and Lake Manyara finalising your trip in Kenya’s Amboseli National park- Amboseli is one of the best places in Africa to see elephants in large numbers up and close. From Amboseli you will also have great opportunities to see Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa.

Day 1: Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Pick up from your Nairobi City hotel at 8.30 a.m and drive to the Ol Pajeta conservancy, a distance to be covered in 3.5 Hours. Arrive at the Serena Sweetwaters Camp for lunch. After lunch, Spend the afternoon exploring the Ol Pajeta Conservancy, return to the Serena Sweetwates camp at 6.00 p.m for dinner and overnight. Meal Plan: {Full Board}

Day 2: Ol Pejeta Conservancy

On this day we explore exotic Ol Pejeta conservancy on two extensive game runs, one in the morning and the other one the evening in between you will have a visit to the chimpanzee sanctuary. Lunch will be at the Serena Sweetwaters Camp, The camp also overlooks one of the busiest waterholes in the area and offers elephant, giraffe and myriad plains game. Proceed with your afternoon game drive until 6.00 p.m. for Dinner and Overnight stay at the Serena Sweetwaters Camp. Meal Plan {Full Board}

Day 3: Ol Pejeta to Samburu National Reserve

Depart Ol Pejeta Conservancy after breakfast and drive for approximately 2 Hours to the Samburu Game reserve. Upon arrival at Samburu, have a game drive en route to the elephant bedroom camp for lunch. After lunch, relax until 4.00 p.m time for your evening game drive. At 6.00 p.m, return to the elephant bedroom camp for dinner and overnight. Samburu is famous for the rare and unusual reticulated giraffe, long-necked gerenuk, Colobus monkey, beisa oryx and Grevy’s zebra.The Ashnil Samburu Camp offers spectacular opportunities to see the elephants close-up. {Meal Plan; Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner}

Day 4: Samburu National Reserve

An early morning game drive is followed by breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, have a full day game viewing with an optional Bush lunch. Explore Samburu and its rare animal species as well as the Samburu people’s culture. Later in the evening return to the Elephant Bedroom Camp for dinner and overnight. {Meal Plan; Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner}

Day 5: Samburu to the Aberdares

You will have breakfast and thereafter depart for Aberdare National Park arriving in good time for lunch at Aberdare Country Club the base hotel for The Ark Lodge. After lunch you will be transferred to The Ark for game viewing and overnight with the lodge vehicle. In the afternoon, you will have time at leisure game viewing from the balcony of the lodge for the animals that comes around the waterholes until evening. Note- you only need a soft bag with overnight essential. The other bags will be left at the Aberdare Country Club. You will also say goodbye to your guide since you will not be seeing them until next morning as the lodge driver guides take charge. Meals and Overnight: Ark Lodge or Similar (FB)

Day 6: Aberdares to Lake Naivasha

After an early morning breakfast at 7.00 a.m, depart Aberdares where you will enjoy endless beauty of the mountains stretching to the horizons en route to Lake Naivasha. You will have a brief stop at the Equator as well as at the Thompson falls. Arrive at Lake Naivasha around 12.00 noon. Check in at the Lake Naivasha sopa lodge as well as have your lunch. After lunch relax as you enjoy the cool grounds around the lodge.  Dinner and overnight at the Lake Naivasha Sopa lodge. Meal plan: {FB}

Day 7: Lake Naivasha full Day

After breakfast, depart for a 2 hour tour of the Hell's gate National park, the only park in Kenya where you can walk amongst the wildlife in their natural habitat. Engage in your favourite activity like cycling, trekking or camel riding within the park. Proceed to the Olkaria Geothermal spa where you will take a relaxing swim in the naturally heated swimming pool. Lunch will be at the Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort.  At 4.00 p.m, depart an evening boat trip tour of the Lake and on to the crescent Island for bird watching as well as small game viewing for approximately 1 hour 20 minutes. Return to the Lodge at 5.30 p.m. for dinner and overnight stay. Meal pla: Full Board.

Day 8: Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru

After breakfast, depart Lake Naivasha and head to Lake Nakuru National Park,  have an extened morning game drive en route to the Sarova Lion Hill Lodge for lunch. Your evening game drive will be at 4.00 to 6.00 p.m. Dinner and overnight at the Sarova Lion Hill Lodge

Day 9: Lake Nakuru to Masai mara

Depart Lake Nakuru after breakfast and take a 4.5 to 5 Hour drive to Maasai mara. Arrive Maasai mara in good time for lunch. Lunch will be at the Mara Mara Sarova game Lodge. After lunch, you will relax until 4.00 p.m time for your evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Mara Sarova Camp. Meal Plan{Full board

Day 10: Masai mara full day

Have an early morning cup of coffee then depart for a game viewing session at 6.30 am to 8.30 am. Return to the Mara Sarova Camp for breakfast. After breakfast, depart for another game viewing session that will last until 12.30 pm. Return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, relax until 4.00 pm time for your evening game viewing session which will last until 6.00 pm. Dinner and overnight at the Mara Sarova Game lodge. Meal Plan{FB} On this day you may choose to have a full day game drive with packed lunch taken at a vantage point along the banks of the mara river as you watch the migration crossing.

Day 11: Masai mara: Mara North Conservancy

After breakfast, depart Mara Sarova Game Lodge and have a half-day game drive en route to the Royal mara Safari Lodge for lunch. Your evening game drive will be at 4.00 to 6.00 p.m. Dinner and overnight at the Royal mara Safari Lodge.

Day 12: Masai mara: mara North Conservancy

Spend the day exploring the wildlife rich mara North Conservancy with a break for lunch. Dinner and overnight at the Royal mara Safari Lodge.

Day 13: Masai mara to Serengeti

30 Minutes. Transfer from Isibania to Tarime 20 Km- 20 minutes, Flight from Tarime to Central Serengeti 1 Hour 25 Minutes (1045 Hrs to 1210 Hrs)

Depart Masai mara after breakfast and drive to the Kenya-Tanzania boarder at Isibani where you will have a short road transfer to Tarime. Board your flight to Serengeti. Upon arrival in Central Serengeti, our guide will pick you from the airfield and drive you to the Kisura Tented Camp for Lunch. Afternoon game drive in the Serengeti at 4.00 to 6.00 p.m. Dinner and overnight at the Kisura Tented Camp. Meal Plan: Lunch and Dinner.

Day 14 and 15: Serengeti National Park

Enjoy these two days exploring the wildlife-rich Central Serengeti. All meals and overnight stay at the Serengeti Explorer by Elewana. Meal Plan; Full board

Day 16: Seregeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area: 2 Hours 40 minutes Drive

After an early morning breakfast, depart Serengeti and drive to the Ngorongoro Crater where you will spend around 5 to 6 hours on the crater floor, lunch will be picnic. Dinner and overnight at the Ngorongoro Explorer Lodge by Elewana Collection. Meal Plan: Dinner and breakfast.

Day 17: Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara: 2 Hours Drive

After breakfast, you will depart Ngorongoro and drive to Lake Manyara Natioanl park, (a 2 Hour drive) to see the blend of woodlands, open bushes, and the lake. The sausage trees are alive with blue monkeys and vervets while the bushbuck, waterbuck, baboons, aardvark, civet, the shy pangolin and leopard, all make their home in the forest. Lake Manyara is well known to have a variety of mammals, reptiles, birds and different types of vegetation, all within a small area. Beneath its shore, there are a magnet of birdlife and a kaleidoscope of different species. The lake is famous for the Larger and lesser flamingos. Spend approximately 4 hours inside this park followed by a Lunch. Spend the afternoon enjoying the Escarpment Luxury Lodge facilities where you will also spend the overnight stay.

Day 18: Lake Manyara to Tarangire National Park: 2 Hours Drive

After breakfast depart Lake Manyara and drive to Tarangire National Park (Approximately 2 hours drive) Tarangire is a beautiful Park, a pristine park in Central Tanzania. Enjoy game drives in this magical place seeking the local animals with packed lunch to maximise the game drives. Named after Tarangire River, this park is indeed interesting and is renowned for its high density of Elephants, beautiful Baobab trees and scenic Termite Mounds. On our Tarangire National Park safari drives, we shall hope to find the famous tree climbing lions or Tarangire, hippos, leopards, cheetahs, assorted antelopes and much more. We shall also explore the beautiful Tarangire Swamp, where animals often congregate for water and evergreen vegetation. Late afternoon proceed to the Tarangire Sopa Lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Meal Plan: Full board.

Day 19: Tarangire National Park full day

Spend the day exploring the Tarangire National park w ith a lunch break. All meals and overnight stay at the Tarangire Sopa Lodge. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 20: Tarangire National Park to Amboseli National Park: 6 Hours Drive

After early morning breakfast, depart Tarangire and drive across the Rongai boarder on to Amboseli National Park. You will meet the Kenyan driver and drive to Amboseli arriving in good time for lunch. Lunch will be at the Oltukai Lodge. After lunch, relax until 4.00 p.m. time for your afternoon game drive returning to the Lodge at 6.20 p.m. Dinner and overnight at the Oltukai Lodge. Meal Plan: Full board.

Day 21: Amboseli National Park full day

Spend the day Exploring Amboseli National Park with unlimited game drives, break for lunch at the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at the Oltukai Lodge.

Day 22: Amboseli to Nairobi: 3 Hours 20 Minutes Drive

Depart Amboseli after breakfast and drive to Nairobi arriving in good time for lunch. Lunch will be at the Tamarind Restaurant/Carnivore restaurant. After lunch transfer to the JKIA airport for outbound flight.
