16 Days Kenya and Tanzania Safari

Meet and great at the Jomo Kenyatta International airport on arrival. Transfer to the Tamarind Tree Hotel or the Boma Hotel. Meal Plan: Half Board

Pick up from Nairobi (Pick location Nairobi CBD) 7.00 a.m in the morning and drive south across the Athi Plains, home of the Masai, via the trading town of Namanga near the Tanzanian border and on to Amboseli. Enter Amboseli Park driving slowly, looking for lions, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, gazelles, antelopes and different kind of birds. Check in at the Oltukai Lodge and have lunch followed by a short afternoon relaxation. At 4 pm go for the evening game drive in the small but game filled Amboseli national park with a chance to see Elephants, lions, cheetahs, gazelles, wildebeests, buffalos zebras, warthogs, different birds and of course Mount Kilimanjaro. Have an early morning cup of coffee/tea then depart for an early morning game at 6.15 a.m. to 8.15 a.m followed by breakfast. At 9.00 a.m., depart for a mid-morning game drive exploring Amboseli until 11.30 a.m. when you drive back to the Lodge for lunch. After lunch, relax enjoying the lodge facilities until 4.00 pm when you leave for an evening game drive. At 6.00 p.m. return to the Oltukai Lodge. Meal Plan {Full Board}

Depart Amboseli after breakfast and drive across Kenya-Tanzania boarder to Arusha. Check in at the Arusha Serena for dinner. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight stay at the Arusha Serena Safari Lodge. Meal Plan: Full Board

Pick up at 8:00 a.m. from your hotel in Arusha and depart for Lake Manyara National Park with a picnic lunch for a full day game drive. As you enter the national park, lush forests of Acacia and Mahogany trees begin to set the mood for what is waiting ahead. The game drive will go on till evening with a small break for picnic lunch. During the game drive watch out for buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, baboons and the blue monkeys. Another spectacle of Lake Manyara National park is the tree climbing lions, however spotting them is a game of luck. In the right season, you can see the shoreline turning pink with millions of flamingos flocking there. Post the game drive, you will head back to the Lake Manyara Serena Safari lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Meal plan: Full board

After breakfast depart depart Lake Manyara and drive to Tarangire National park  for an extended game drive until lunch hour. Lunch will be at the Tarangire Sopa Lodge. Drive back to the lodge for lunch and to enjoy the lodge facilities.  Tarangire is a beautiful Park, a pristine park in Central Tanzania. Enjoy game drives in this magical place seeking the local animals with packed lunch to maximise the game drives. Named after Tarangire River, this park is indeed interesting and is renowned for its high density of Elephants, beautiful Baobab trees and scenic Termite Mounds. On our Tarangire National Park safari drives, we shall hope to find the famous tree climbing lions or Tarangire, hippos, leopards, cheetahs, assorted antelopes and much more. We shall also explore the beautiful Tarangire Swamp, where animals often congregate for water and evergreen vegetation. Late afternoon proceed to the Tarangire Sopa Lodge  for dinner and overnight stay. Meal Plan: Full board.

Spend the day exploring the Tarangire National park with packed lunch. Later in the late afternoon hours return to the lodge for relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay at the Tarangire Sopa Lodge. Meal plan: Full board.

After an early breakfast, depart Tarangire National park and head to the Ngorongoro Conservation area, packed with picnic lunch, descend to the crater floor for a game drive (5 hours). You can expect to see lions, elephants, Zebras, Hippos, Flamingos, Jackals, Rhinos Antelopes and many birds. The birds seen here include eagle, vulture, and flamingos in the Crater Lake, stork, bats, giant vulture, sacred ibis, kori bustard, blacksmith plover, long necked heron and the cattle eagle. Post the picnic lunch at the beautiful Hippo pool, you will begin a steep ascend to the top exit of the crater. Dinner and overnight stay the Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge: Meal plan: Full board

Depart Ngorongoro Conservation area after breakfast and drive to the Serengeti National Park. Serengeti is the most renowned safari destination for its incredible population of lions and leopards. The central portion of the Serengeti - known as Seronera area is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. It features the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. During the off season of the migration, one must really look out for the many lion pride that thrive in this region. The interactions and survival of these lion pride provide an excellent game viewing experience all year round. Along with lunch in between at the Serengeti Serena, the day will come to a close by around 6.00 p.m. All meals and overnight stay at the Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge.

Spend these two full days exploring the Central Serengeti. You will be treated to two extended game drives every day, one in the morning between 7.00 a.m. and 11a.m. and the other in the afternoon hours between 4.00 and 6.00 p.m. Dinner and overnight stay at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge. After breakfast, transfer to the Seronera airstrip for the morning flight to Tarime. Our driver will pick you up from the Airstrip and proceed for a 2.5-3-hour drive to the Masai mara Natioanal reserve. Lunch will be at the Mara Serena Safari Lodge: After lunch, evening game drive at 4.00 to 6.00 p.m. Dinner and overnight at the Mara Serena Safari Lodge. Meal plan: All inclusive.

Spend these two full days exploring the Masai mara game reserve as well as an optional visit to the Mara triangle, this area is one of the best wildlife viewing spots in the masai mara ecosystem. You will have great opportunities to see the Big cats, lions, leopards, cheetahs as well as the rest of the “Big five” wildlife. You will also have a chance to see the larger and smaller herbivores and dozens of bird species as well as the “famous” Nile Crocodiles- one of the largest crocodile species in the world as well as hippos. All meals, dinner and overnight stay at the Mara Serena Safari Lodge. Meal Plan: Full board.

After breakfast, depart Masai mara and drive to Nairobi with a brief stop to see the Great Rift Valley. Lunch will be in Nairobi. After lunch, last minute shopping for souvenirs then transfer to the Jomo Kenyatta international airport for your departure.
